Final Fantasy XVI launches today for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC

Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XVI launches today on Xbox Series X|S following its launch for PC (SteamEpic) last year and its PlayStation 5 debut in 2023.

Final Fantasy XVI's announcement was accompanied with a short trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 that mentioned it is out now, but the page hasn't gone live yet. It should be available as of later today at worst as a Play Anywhere title meaning it is a single purchase for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC (Windows Store) today.

The base Final Fantasy XVI game on PC is priced at $49.99 USD, though a listing for the Final Fantasy XVI Complete Edition bundles its two DLC expansions, Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide, for a total of $69.99 USD. The Xbox pricing is the same with $49.99 for the base game and $69.99 for the Complete Edition which are both available now.
