Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Otherwordly Venture mode is now available as a free update

Capcom has released a major update for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess bringing in the Otherworldly Venture mode alongside the game's debut today on Nintendo Switch 2.

This update brings in a new mode st in an alternate world hidden behind Torii Gate. It has a streamlined take on the game's day/night cycle with endless enemies. It is available after completing the main game once.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) and Microsoft Store. You can also read James' review of the game.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess 1.40 update patch notes

Added a new mode, Otherworldly Venture, which becomes available after completing the main game for the first time.
Miscellaneous bug fixes have been made.

The extra content, Otherworldly Venture, is a skill-testing mode that emphasizes exhilarating action and strategic thinking.

Set in an alternate world hidden behind the Torii Gate, this new game mode offers a streamlined version of the standard day/night cycle, featuring an endless horde of enemies. The Maiden's health does not regenerate in this mode, so it's game over when her health reaches zero.

Players are challenged to strategically plan positions and villager placements more intensively than in the main game, resulting in a demanding yet rewarding experience.
