Developer Nano Park Studios and publisher iam8bit have revealed a new gameplay trailer for the slice-of-life RPG Petal Runner during Summer Game Fest 2025.

The upcoming RPG, inspired by games in the genre that were released on the Game Boy Color, is in development for 2026 release on PC (Steam). If you missed the game's original announcement, read our story on it here.

iam8bit, makers of beloved collector’s editions, vinyl and games, and Nano Park Studios, the Canadian indie team founded by Brandon James Greer and Danny Guo, have revealed a brand-new trailer for Petal Runner! 

Petal Runner is a heartfelt coming-of-age story that unfolds in a beautifully designed pixel art world of Sapphire Valley. In Petal Runner, players can hop on their bikes and join Cali, a specialized motorcycle courier known as a Petal Runner tasked to deliver a new type of energy called Leap Cells. Leap Cells power the newest generation of artificial pet technology called HanaPets; together with his HanaPet Kira, Cali embarks on an adventure making deliveries, exploring the city and making new friends along the way.
