Fictions to release Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation for Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC worldwide in 2026
Fictions and Game Freak have revealed Beast of Reincarnation at the June 2025 Xbox Games Showcase. The companies also confirmed that the new Japanese-themed action RPG will be available worldwide in 2026 for not only Xbox Series X|S but also PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
Beast of Reincarnation was previously teased as Project Bloom as a partnership between Private Division and Game Freak in May 2023. Since then, Private Division has been divested to Haveli Investments, and newly-founded publisher Fictions has picked up publishing rights for the game.
As a reminder, while Game Freak has been famously known for the Pokemon games, the Japanese company has also been releasing other games not bound to Nintendo consoles. Some of the examples include the strategy RPG Little Town Hero and the platformer games Giga Wrecker and Tembo the Badass Elephant.

While the trailer features Japanese voiceovers, the Steam page confirms that it will also have an English dub option. The game will also support additional subtitles in French, Italian, German, Spanish (Castilian and Latin American), Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified).
Today, during the Xbox Showcase, acclaimed Japanese developer Game Freak, in partnership with newly announced publisher Fictions, debuted a brand new trailer for their highly anticipated action-adventure title, Beast of Reincarnation (previously teased as Project Bloom). Directed by Kota Furushima, Beast of Reincarnation is set to release in 2026 and will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass (Series X|S, Windows). It will also be available at launch on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5.
The new trailer offers a breathtaking look at the game's atmospheric world, inviting players to journey through post-apocalyptic Japan. Step into the role of Emma the Sealer, along with her canine companion Koo, as they confront the source of the world’s corruption to save humanity from extinction.
