Sega reveals sales numbers for Metaphor: Refantazio alongside several Persona, SMT, and Yakuza titles
Sega Sammy has posted slides for its Management Meeting 2025 [PDF], which took place on June 18, via the company's investor relations website.
The are several interesting items found throughout the document. We'll outline some of the more interesting nuggets of information below, including sales numbers for numerous Sega/Atlus games.
Here the the highlights:
- Metaphor: Refantazio has surpassed 2 million units sold
- Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven are set to release after April 2026
- Atlus (accidently?) shares sales data for many major titles, including Persona, Yakuza, and Shin Megami Tensei games
Metaphor: Refantazio has surpassed 2 million units sold

On slide 20, Sega discusses achievements and challenges of the previous fiscal year (April 2024 to March 2025). On this page, they list Metaphor: ReFantazio as one of the company's successes, labeling it as selling 2 million units. Atlus previously announced that the RPG hit 1 million units sold on its release day last October.
Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven are set to release after April 2026

On slide 27, Sega outlines its release plan for video games in the current medium term (a period of three fiscal years). On this slide, it is stated that both Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven are set to release next fiscal year or later, with the specific release timing TBD.
In other words, those two games are not set to release in the current fiscal year, which ends March 2026. Sega's current fiscal year is instead focusing on Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, and Football Manager 2025.
Atlus (accidently?) shares sales data for many major titles
This is the weird one. Slide 25 is titled "Full Game: Unit Sales of Major IPs" but shows a gray box with the text "Some content is currently under adjustment." However, while the box is grayed out — seemingly to redact information that was shared in the in-person meeting — the data can still be easily copied from the slide. With that, we can directly see sales figures for many of Sega's top-selling games.
It's unclear if the data was meant to be shared, or not, but it is public now regardless. The table has been organized on the GamingLeaksAndRumours Reddit page, which we've shared below.

- Persona 5 Royal numbers do not include sales of the original version of Persona 5.
- Shin Megami Tensei V numbers include the original version and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.
- All numbers are presumed to be shipments + digital sales
Persona 5's total sales numbers have always been a little bit tricky to state cumulatively, as the game received both its Royal re-release and subsequent ports (which Sega consistently calls a "Remaster"). Sometime Persona 5 sales are reported as "Persona 5 franchise" sales, including spinoff games like Persona 5 Strikers. Our best estimate is that the original Persona 5 is around 3 million units, before Royal, which would comfortably put Persona 5 + Persona 5 Royal sales above 10 million units.
This data revealed that Yakuza: Like A Dragon — the number 7 entry and first turn-based RPG in the long-standing series — is just shy of 3 million units sold.
After the release of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Atlus annouced that the combined sales of the original version and Vengeance re-release hit 1.6 million units sold. This new data shows that the combined sales have now surpassed 2 million units.
Persona 3 Reload was announced to have reached 1 million units sold in its first week of sale. According to this data, the game surpassed 2 million unit sometime in the previous fiscal year.
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth was announced to also have reached 1 million units sold in its first week of sale. According to this data, it is still shy of 2 million units.
We never received sales numbers for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, but according to the data, it is just shy of 1 million units sold.
