
Borderlands 4 introduces Vex the Siren in new gameplay overview and character short videos
2K and Gearbox Software have released two new Borderlands 4 trailers today to showcase Vex the Siren, an all-new Vault Hunter in the game.
The gameplay overview for Vex goes over her destructive Phase energy, Phase Clones, and more. The Character Short for Vex has Vex going over the events that led to her becoming a Vault Hunter and how she got her powers. Borderlands 4 launches on September 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). It will release this year for Nintendo Switch 2.

Today, 2K and Gearbox Software shared the Gameplay Overview and Character Short for Vex the Siren, the first in a series of introductions to the four all-new Vault Hunters who are wreaking havoc on Kairos in Borderlands 4!
In the Vex Gameplay Overview, you can witness Vex's destructive Phase energy in action, whether she's blasting enemies to bits with elemental orbs, summoning an entourage of aggressive Phase Clones, or letting her adorable (and deadly) feline Phase Phamiliar, aptly named Trouble, tear the opposition limb from limb.
You can also watch Vex's new Character Short "Purple Friday," featuring Vex's retelling of the bloody events that set her down the path to becoming a Vault Hunter and how she obtained her powers.
Borderlands 4 launches worldwide on September 12, 2025 via PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and is available for pre-order now. It will also be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later in 2025. More info on Switch 2 pre-orders will be available in the future.
