Monster Hunter Wilds original weapon and pendant design contest polls are now open until July 18

Capcom has revealed the user-made designs that have made it through the first judging round of the Monster Hunter Wilds Original Weapon and Pendant Design Contest. The company has also opened a public poll, which runs until July 18 at 07:59 AM UTC, to determine the top 8 designs for the next judging round. Note that the poll page requires you to have a registered Capcom ID to access.

A total of 20 entries are available to choose from for each of the two categories. Note that for the Weapon category, each design generally represents a specific weapon type, such as Great Sword, Hunting Horn, Insect Glaive, Charge Blade, Gunlance, and Lance. But even though 8 of them will proceed to the next round, only one will become the grand winner and actually be implemented in the game. In addition, Capcom will have the final discretion to determine the final weapon type for the winning design.

After this poll is closed on July 18, Capcom will announce the top 8 finalists on July 25. The company will then reveal the grand winner of each category on September 27, which will then be actually added to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC Steam game Monster Hunter Wilds in early 2026.
