1990 X68000 version of Hydlide 3: The Space Memories Special Version ported to Windows PC via Project EGG
D4 Enterprise has released a port of the 1900 X68000 version of Hydlide 3: The Space Memories Special Version for modern Windows PCs. The port is now available via the Japanese Project EGG platform.
This release adds yet another entry to the numerous versions of Hydlide 3 on the platform. Previously in 2023, the company released another port of Hydlide 3 SV based on the 1989 PC-9801 version. They have also released ports of the original Hydlide 3 from the MSX, MSX2, X1, and the first ever release on PC-8801 on November 21, 1987.
Hydlide 3 was the last entry in the classic Japanese game trilogy. The first two games have also been made available on Nintendo Switch worldwide (albeit still in the original unlocalized Japanese versions). But as of this writing, D4 Enterprise has still yet to release a Switch port for Hydlide 3.
