Star Wars: The Old Republic adds a new free to play option this Fall

The writing was on the wall and now EA has confirmed what people have been speculating for some time - Star Wars: The Old Republic is going free to play. But not completely.

Starting this Fall, players will have access access to each of the eight iconic Star Wars character class storylines, all the way up to level 50, with certain restrictions for free. Unlimited game access, including new higher-level game content and new features, will be made available through individual purchases or through a subscription option.

Beginning this month, the base disc version of the game will go on sale for $14.99 and still include the free 30 day subscription.
