Danganronpa 2x2 announced for 2026 release on PS5, Switch 2, Switch, Xbox, and Steam

During the Nintendo Direct, Spike Chunsoft announced Danganronpa 2x2 which serves as the latest installment in the Danganronpa series featuring a brand-new scenario and revamped version of the original Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

Danganronpa 2x2 includes a brand-new scenario based on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The setting and cast of characters remain the same, but a certain incident triggers a completely different chain of events with different victims, culprits, and tricks. This new scenario offers a volume of content on par with the original.

The original scenario of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair has been updated with new visuals and production value for modern game systems. Players will experience the shocking story, revamped to deliver a more beautiful and satisfying gameplay experience.
