Stellar Blade gets new update adding free mission DLC, new music, and bug fixes

Developer Shift Up announced that Stellar Blade will receive new mission DLC alongside the game's version 1.014 update, which launches on September 24, 2025 for PS5 and September 30, 2025 for PC.

In addition to fixes for bugs and issues, the free update adds a series of quests players can take from Xion's Bulletin Board. When completed, the quests will unlock a new Stellar Blade Nano Suit costume for EVE, called Ocean String. Shift Up also teased further free updates to Stellar Blade, though it didn't specify when they'd be launched or what they might contain.

Alongside the new update and quest line, Stellar Blade also received a new set of music tracks, arranged based on existing background music tracks. Players can unlock the new tracks by visiting The Last Gulp in Xion. There they'll receive "A Thank You Gift from Enya," unlocking six new music tracks:

Star Descent (Arrange)
Arisa (Arrange)
Democrawler (Arrange)
Everglow (Arrange)
Hypertube (Arrange)

Stellar Blade is no stranger to updates free and premium. Previous free updates added features like Photo Mode and new costumes, as well as modes like the in-game boss rush. Premium DLC packs included crossovers with popular titles like NieR: Automata and Shift Up's own free-to-play title Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.

Finally, Shift Up also announced that Stellar Blade is on sale on PC as of September 24, 2025. The game will be available via Steam and the Epic Game store for 20% off for a limited time.
