More characters revealed for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Koei Tecmo has updated the Japanese official website for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment by revealing 5 new characters. The company has also published a press release that contains more screenshots.

The screenshots heavily imply that 4 of the 5 characters shown should be confirmed as playable characters with in-battle actions. In addition, the 4 heroes are respectively coming from the same four major races in the Breath of the Wild sub-series, which are the Goron, Zora, Rito, and Gerudo.

You can find our summaries and tentative transliteration of the new characters' names right below. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will be available worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6.

Argasta

Argasta (アーガスタ) is the head of the Goron who is also a long-time friend of King Rauru. He is also known for his intellectual and broad-minded personality.

Kia

Kia (キア) is a princess of the Zora who also excels in martial arts. Her daring and resolute way of fighting gives encouragement to her people.

Krafika

Krafika (クラフィカ) is a quick-witted warrior who has also become the head of the Rito tribe. Despite occasionally making vague speeches and conducts, Krafika has a strong sense of duty to care for friends.

Aldy

The fourth and last confirmed playable character introduced in this batch is Aldy (アルディ), the kind warrior who consolidates the Gerudo tribe. She will first appear serving under Ganondorf, who is a rare Gerudo male born once every 100 years and is thus decreed to automatically rule the tribe.

Aldy is also the only playable character in this batch to have her full face shown; perhaps due to her initial time serving under Ganondorf's Gerudo army. Some of the above screenshots show her wearing a helmet when she is cooperating with the other heroes.

Lanaria

This batch also introduced Lanaria (ラナリア), who is trusted by King Rauru to serve as Zelda's maid. Despite her gentle demeanor, she can finish her jobs quickly and also has a strong curiosity about mystical beings.

Lanaria is also shown carrying a notebook at all times. However, she has fewer screenshots with none of them showing her fighting in battles.
