Starsand Island Demo appears during October 2025 Steam Next Fest

Seed Lab has launched a demo version of Starsand Island on PC via Steam. This demo release is part of the temporary event that is the October 2025 Steam Next Fest. As such, the demo will only be accessible until the event ends on October 21.

In addition, the indie studio has also published a teaser for a crossover on the game's social media account. The silhouettes suggest that Ginger and Gust from My Time at Portia are set to make guest appearances in the full release.

You can find a copy of the Starsand Island Demo announcement from Steam right below. While the Steam page still only lists a Q1 2026 window, the TGS 2025 Xbox Broadcast confirms that Starsand Island will be available for not only PC via Steam but also Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on February 1, 2026. The Japanese X account's profile notes that this release date may so far only apply to the console releases, though.
