Assassin's Creed Shadows launches limited-time crossover with Attack on Titan anime series

The Titans are coming to menace feudal Japan. Ubisoft announced that a new, limited-time crossover event between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the Attack on Titan series has launched in-game alongside Title Update 11. The event is available to all players on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac. The event will also be available for owners of the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Assassin's Creed Shadows when it launches on December 2, 2025.

The Attack on Titan crossover event will manifest as a new in-game adventure, when Naoe and Yasuke investigate rumors of a strange ritual taking place in the shadows. There they'll face the Titans, the monstrous humanoid giants that menace humanity throughout Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga and anime series. They'll also visit Attack on Titan-inspired locations like the Crystal Cave. For their trouble, seveal event-exclusive rewards, including a new weapon, will be unlocked for completing the event quests. The event itself will run for four weeks, ending in late December*. 

*Note that the fine print in the trailer says the event runs until December 15, 2025, but Ubisoft's press release says December 22nd.

Players willing to spend on some microtransactions can also purchase Attack on Titan-themed outfits for both characters. Naoe's costume resembles the Survey Corps uniform and scarf worn by series heroine Mikasa Ackerman, while Yasuke's costume is inspired by the appearance of the Colossal Titan. The Attack on Titan pack for Naoe also includes themed weapons and a Survey Corps rideable mount.

Alongside the event, Assassin's Creed Shadows Title Update 11 includes a new story-related quest called "A Puzzlement," where Naoe and Yasuke attempt to teach each other their skills. Naoe will learn to mimic Yasuke's brutal War Kick, while Yasuke will learn to perform non-lethal stealth takedowns.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Switch 2 edition launches on December 2, 2025. Check out RPG Site's full review of the game.
