Nioh 3 - The Game Awards trailer reveals Demo version coming to PlayStation 5 and PC Steam on January 29

Koei Tecmo has published a new trailer for Nioh 3 during The Game Awards 2025. While this trailer mostly shows more gameplay snippets, it also comes with an announcement of a public demo version coming to both PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on January 29.

The demo version will also come with an offer to unlock the Twin-Snake Helmet by clearing it within a given period. This is the same reward given from clearing the previous PS5-exclusive Alpha Demo. So while PS5 players get another chance, this will be the first time PC players are given the opportunity to get the reward.

You can find the new trailer in Japanese and English voiceover versions right below. The full release of Nioh 3 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam will be available simultaneously worldwide on February 6.

During The Game Awards 2025, KOEI TECMO America and developer Team NINJA announced that the new demo for their upcoming dark samurai action RPG, Nioh 3, will be released Jan. 29, 2026 on PlayStation®5 and Windows PC via Steam®. In addition, as showcased in the action-packed trailer, new exclusive early purchase bonuses have also been revealed ahead of the game’s release on Feb. 6, 2026.
Before transcending through time to save Japan, players will be able to sharpen their blades in the new demo in solo or online multiplayer for up to three players*. After completing the demo, fans will be able to carry over their save data to the final game and continue their journey to become Shogun. More details about the new demo will be released at a later date.
Additionally, new exclusive bonuses for players who will receive the early purchase bonus** have been revealed. These players will receive bonus armor sets inspired by the protagonists from the previous titles, the “Youngblood Armor (Samurai)” worn by William in Nioh and the “Lone Wolf’s Armor (Ninja)” worn by Hiddy in Nioh 2. These items will be obtained by redeeming the early purchase bonus “Hellfrost Armor Set” in game.
Lastly, a special discount is available on the Steam® version of Nioh: Complete Edition, allowing players to experience the first title in this highly acclaimed franchise at 90% off.
Nioh 3 is now available to pre-order physically and digitally. Players can digitally pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition or separately purchase the Season Pass. Furthermore, a SteelBook® edition is also available to pre-order, and comes with the base game and two exclusive bonus DLCs. All versions of the game come with an early purchase bonus* which can be redeemed from the PlayStation™ Store and Steam®, available for a limited time after the game releases.
