Phantom Blade Zero releases on September 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC
S-Game has shared that their upcoming action RPG Phantom Blade Zero is releasing on September 9, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
A brand-new trailer debuted at The Game Awards 2025 that showed off a fair bit of story scenes and gameplay, along with a plethora of different weapons interspersed throughout it. Several boss battles were showcased, including special actions that involved successfully hitting a sudden QTE in the middle of the fight. In one instance, this allowed the player's character to hang onto an enemy's weapon in response to its incoming attack as they swiftly jumped onto the back of their neck to stab it.
Other special actions occur when a player counters an enemy's incoming attack indicated by a brief red flash before it strikes. For instance, the trailer shows off an incoming attack from a ranged chain hook, but the player's character responds by catching it, successfully completing a QTE, and flinging it back to the attacker.
