No Rest for the Wicked multiplayer co-op update coming January 22, new gameplay video released

Moon Studios has announced that action RPG No Rest for the Wicked is getting a major co-op multiplayer update on January 22, 2026 dubbed No Rest for the Wicked Together.

Alongside the reveal for the update's release date and an extended gameplay showcase, No Rest for the Wicked is 30% off during the Steam Winter Sale.

No Rest for the Wicked is now available on Steam Early Access. It is also planned for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.

Independent developer Moon Studios, creators of the eagerly anticipated Soulslike Action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked, and critically-acclaimed titles Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, have offered fans a wealth of new information and a behind the scenes look at upcoming content through the latest episode in their ongoing series of ‘Wicked Inside’ developer livestreams. Currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam, the game is now 30% off during the Winter sale. 

The developers today shared never before seen co-op gameplay and discussed new details of the upcoming co-op multiplayer update, appropriately titled No Rest for the Wicked Together. This immense update will bring long-awaited features like co-op combat, weapon updates, shared resources and homesteads, and much more, all playable with up to four players in shared persistent Realms. Studio director Thomas Mahler and other team members disclosed the official release date for the update as Jan. 22, 2026, along with announcing that a new public beta test featuring content from the impending update is available now to everyone who has purchased the game.

No Rest for the Wicked is the third full-length game from Moon Studios. Players take on the role of a “Cerim”, a member of a holy order imbued with mysterious powers, tasked with destroying the Pestilence, an ancient plague that has begun to consume the island Isola Sacra, itself already the site of great political upheaval and death. Navigate a dark, painterly world and battle against the forces of toxic corruption, cutthroat scavengers, and strange beasts. Build your Cerim from a fledgling survivor to a proper force to be reckoned with, utilizing numerous weapon types, enchantments, and cunning tactics to outsmart and overpower foes.
