Larian is considering next Divinity for Switch 2, trying to release on Steam Deck

Following its reveal during The Game Awards 2025 presentation, Larian Studios is holding an AMA on Reddit right now to discuss Divinity, Baldur's Gate 3, and more.

The responses come from key members of the studio detailed in the main post on Reddit. Larian was asked about the next Divinity game for Switch 2 and also whether it will be playable on Steam Deck. Bert, Technical Director at Larian, responded to both. You can find the Switch 2 response below:

We have just released Divinity Original Sin 2 for Switch 2! We love the platform and we will certainly consider Switch2 for the next Divinity game.

The Steam Deck response is below:

We all love the Steamdeck! Since BG3 was one of the most played games on the platform, we will do our best to again release on the platform.
