Dynasty Warriors: Origins for Switch 2 and the Visions of Four Heroes DLC are now available

Koei Tecmo has launched the Switch 2 version of Dynasty Warriors: Origins alongside the Visions of Four Heroes DLC for all platforms today.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins debuted last year on PS5, Xbox Series, and Steam. It was our runner-up for Best Design and Immersion and also in our overall top 10 for 2025. Dynasty Warriors: Origins is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam). The Visions of Four Heroes DLC is available on the same platforms today as well.

Today, Koei Tecmo America and developer Omega Force invite players on a thrilling journey through the Three Kingdoms with the launch of their tactical action game Dynasty Warriors: Origins on Nintendo Switch 2. Simultaneously, fans can experience brand-new stories, expanding the world of Dynasty Warriors: Origins with the release of a major DLC, Dynasty Warriors: Origins Visions of Four Heroes, now available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam®. In celebration, a new launch trailer has been released.

Originally released in January 2025, Dynasty Warriors: Origins thrusts players onto the battlefield as a nameless hero endeavoring to restore peace in a new and deeper interpretation of the traditional Three Kingdoms narrative. With the largest number of on-screen soldiers in the history of the Dynasty Warriors series, fans can experience the action of 1 vs. 1,000 battles like never before.

The expansive DLC, Visions of Four Heroes, will allow players to delve into new sides of the legendary heroes Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao, and Lu Bu, accompanying them in “What If” scenarios. New companions, including a mysterious new officer, will also appear, adding depth to the unfolding story. Also enhancing the experience are two new weapons, the “Bow” and “Rope Dart”, which will enable players to influence the battlefield in unique ways by employing the individual characteristics of each weapon. Furthermore, additional features such as the “Training Ground”, where players can hone their skills before setting out onto the battlefield, will allow players to enjoy their action-packed Three Kingdoms experience to the fullest.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam. Dynasty Warriors: Origins Visions of Four Heroes and the Nintendo Switch 2 version are now available. The game features Japanese and English voices with texts in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
