Retro 3D open world RPG Dread Delusion set to release for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026

Publisher DreadXP and developer Lovely Hellplace have announced that Dread Delusion will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026. The open-world 'low-poly' RPG originally released in May 2024 for PC (Steam) after an Early Access period.

The next RPG from Lovely Hellplace - called Entropy - is also set to release in 2026 for PC.

Continuing to build on a fruitful partnership, Lovely Hellplace and indie horror publisher, DreadXP, will be bringing Dread Delusion, their successful RPG, to consoles, including a Nintendo Switch 2 version, in spring 2026. Inspired by ‘90 and ‘00’s adventure classics like King’s Field and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Dread Delusion combines a gorgeous, nostalgic artstyle with classic RPG gameplay, allowing players to shape their character to suit their playstyle as they explore the vast world. Upon launch, the console versions will include all the updates added to the Steam version throughout Early Access, bringing features like Hard Mode, airship customization, and the Creature Island content to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
