Konami reveals action RPG Rev. NOiR for PlayStation 5
Konami Digital Entertainment unveiled a brand-new RPG titled Rev. NOiR at the February 2026 Sony State of Play. On its official website, the logo for game development studio ILCA is also displayed, so they are seemingly also involved with its development; several RPGs they've worked on include Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, One Piece Odyssey, and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Former Square Enix employee Nobuki Kadoi is producing Rev. NOiR. Kadoi departed Square Enix as the producer of Gunslinger Stratos at the end of 2019. Since then, Kadoi was credited on the recent Suikoden I & II HD Remaster as Production Support.
Rev. NOiR revolves around a phenomenon known as lightfall, drops of light that kill anything it touches. Players experience Rev. NOiR through the eyes of a boy who seems to be affected by it. On the brink of death and with vague flashbacks of his life before his tragedy, he awakens with amnesia by a special girl. Thus, the journey to stop the lightfall begins.

Konami today announced Rev. NOiR, an all-new RPG currently in development for PlayStation 5 which was officially revealed during Sony Interactive's State of Play broadcast. Marking the project’s first public appearance, Konami debuted a teaser trailer and launched a teaser website offering an initial glimpse into the world and tone of its newest role-playing experience.
