Star Trek Online: Corruption expansion launches alongside 16th Anniversary event on February 17
Developer Cryptic Studios has revealed that the next major Star Trek: Online update will coincide with the game's 16th anniversary celebration event. The update, titled Star Trek Online: Corruption, will debut alongside the 16th anniversary on February 17, 2026 for players on PC and continue until March 18, 2026. Players on consoles will receive the update on March 10, 2026 for players on consoles.
As with the 15th anniversary event, the Star Trek Online update will add a new main story mission, this time involving returning characters from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Actor Nicole de Boer will reprise her role as Ezri Dax, who's been promoted to the rank of Captain in Starfleet, and joins the player to confront the escalating threat of the Chimerans, a unknown alien species introduced during the previous storyline. A new cooperative Task Force Operations playable by teams of up to five players will also be added to the game, allowing players to team up to defend the Federation's MIDAS Array facility from Chimeran assault. Players can also participate in the returning Omega Molecule Stabilization minigame to earn prizes and useful upgrade materials for their gear.
The 16th anniversary event will also allow players to reap new rewards from participation, including a new playable starship, the Empersa Alliance Juggernaut. Belonging to the forces of the Khitomer Alliance (a military alliance between the Federation, Klingon Empire, Romulan Republic, and Dominion), the Empersa is a Juggernaut-type ship, one of the heaviest and most well-armed ship types in the game, with a design combining aspects of Dominion and Klingon shipbuilding. It can unlock several abilities that deal heavy damage to enemies at the cost of doing damage to the player's ship.
Star Trek Online is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The 16th anniversary event launches on February 17, 2026 on PC and March 10, 2026 on consoles.
