Jiro Ishii revealed Shibuya Scramble Stories to have 5 playable protagonists
Jiro Ishii has revealed more details on his upcoming new game Shibuya Scramble Stories. This is the official title of Ishii's new Shibuya-based live-action adventure game that follows the success of 428: Shibuya Scramble. Skeleton Crew Studio has also updated the game's official website with details from this most recent reveal.
The primary highlight in the announcement was the reveal that this game will have 5 selectable playable characters, and each protagonist will have their own story viewpoint.
The list of the 5 main actors and protagonist characters in Shibuya Scramble Stories is as follows:
- Fumio Kitagami as Midori Midosuji, a journalist
- Kousei Amano as Kaiji Kayama, a taxi driver
- Yuuto Nakamura as Aren Ando, a lawyer
- Yosuke Kubozuka as Gin Ginbara, a novelist
- Masaru Matsuda as Ban Baba, The Man
While the initial reveal in 2025 also confirmed the involvement of Masakazu Arai, he is currently still only listed in the overall cast list, with his exact role still unspecified. The cast list also so far includes names like Shunsaku Kudo, Manami Ute, Takuji Oyama, Kouta Kusano, and Saori Ito. The game's mascot character Siblla rounds up the current character list.
While a new trailer showcasing the main characters was shown at the stream, Skeleton Crew has still yet to publish its standalone version. You can find an archive of the livestream right below, and the new trailer is available from the 20:17 mark.
