The Steam version will arrive on May 14 featuring DLSS 4, New Game Plus, the Titanium challenge level, new weapon parts & skins in New Game Plus, photo mode, and much more. A Blades of Fire Steam demo is now live with save data carrying over to the full release.

You can find the Blades of Fire 2.0 feature showcase videos alongside more details from MercurySteam and 505 Games below:

Developer MercurySteam and publisher 505 Games are pleased to share the second episode of the weekly feature video series dedicated to Blades of Fire – Version 2.0, launching on Steam PC on May 14.

This new episode spotlights one of the key additions coming with Version 2.0 – an update designed to expand gameplay possibilities for Aran and Adso: Transmutation.

With Version 2.0, Blades of Fire introduces Transmutation, a brand-new system that allows players to convert materials directly at the forge.

Players can transmute any material into another, provided it has already been discovered during their journey. The process is simple: select the material you want to create, then choose the material you wish to convert.

Materials are grouped into tiers, with more lower-tier materials needed to transmute into a higher-tier material. Conversely, higher-tier materials can also be used to produce more lower-tier materials.

Transmutation allows you to rebalance your inventory and turn excess resources into the exact materials your next weapon needs.

Starting May 14, the 2.0 update will be available for free on all other platforms too (PS5, Xbox, Epic, PC). Don’t forget to wishlist Blades of Fire on Steam, and stay tuned for next week’s feature spotlight!
