Windrose has sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide

Kraken Express has announced that Windrose has sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide following its early access release on PC (Steam, Epic, Stove).

Windrose, described as a survival adventure with optional co-op featuring souls-lite combat and hand-crafted dungeons in a procedural world, debuted two weeks ago and it has now crossed 1.5 million copies. It previously crossed 1 million copies less than a week after launching. Windrose is currently available for $29.99 or with a supporter bundle priced at $39.99.

The team at Kraken Express has dug up quite the treasure chest with the news that Windrose, the hit co-op pirate survival-adventure game, has crossed over 1.5 million copies sold since its Early Access launch earlier this month. To celebrate this incredible milestone, the team has also released a new accolades trailer today!

The team at Kraken Express is incredibly grateful to all the captains that have set sail on their pirate adventures so far and excited to continue growing the game during the journey through Early Access. The team has been hard at work improving Windrose by implementing over 40 new building pieces to fill some gaps and allow players more consistent builds along with over 50 fixes and quality-of-life changes in a patch earlier today. Other improvements made to the game address connectivity issues, reduced load on SSDs, stability and performance. A ‘treasure map’ (content roadmap) will be released in the coming months, but the team can confirm that the first big content drop will include the Ashlands – a dangerous new biome taken over by undead and covered in volcanic ash.

In the current Early Access version of Windrose, you and your co-op mates can explore three diverse biomes full of quests to complete, enemies to fight in souls-lite-inspired combat, and handcrafted points of interest to discover in a procedurally generated world. Take down epic bosses with an armory of unique weapons, including sabers, maces, muskets and more. Improve your reputation with various factions, trade, farm, fish and build a pirate haven of your own – and command your own vessel in thrilling naval battles with boarding actions. The high seas are yours for the taking!
