Archetype Entertainment shares gameplay for Exodus showcasing conversations, stealth, and explorable locales
In the studio's continuing effort to provide regular gameplay updates, Archetype Entertainment has shared new Gameplay Sneak Peeks for Exodus, showcasing various components such as conversations, stealth, and exploration in the game's various locales.
These gameplay clips follow the Gameplay First Look and Breaching Khonsu gameplay shown in March.
We've shared five clips below that Archetype shared throughout April: Conversation Choices, Persepolis Cityscape, Stealth in Action, Traversing the Molten Depths, and Exploring A Distant Frozen World.
Exodus is set to release in Early 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
Conversation Choices First Look
We have more work-in-progress Exodus gameplay to share. This time, something more personal: a quieter, in-the-moment conversation with Phaedra, one of your combat companions, while you’re out on a mission together. This is one of many moments between the action where you shape who Jun becomes and how your story unfolds. In this conversation, you'll see:
- Jun Aslan and Phaedra in a corroding Celestial facility, hunting for Remnants
- Phaedra has been infected by a Celestial virus that left her blind
- Her drone feeds her environmental data, and strangely, the virus has given her an unexpected ability to interface with Celestial glyphs
- Dialogue options branch in real time as Phaedra opens up about what she's going through
Persepolis Cityscape
We have more work-in-progress Exodus gameplay to share. This one takes you to Persepolis, the sprawling city on Lidon’s hot pole that Jun Aslan calls home. From above the cityscape, you take in the sheer scale of what humanity has built… and what you’re fighting to protect. In this clip, you'll see:
- Jun Aslan stepping onto a balcony above Persepolis
- Use of Precognition to scan landmarks across the cityscape
- Galarus, the gas giant that Lidon orbits, dominating the sky
- Oupávia Space Tower damaged, but still standing in the distance
Stealth in Action
We’re excited to share more work-in-progress Exodus gameplay. This one takes you into a heavily guarded Celestial chamber held by Zealot forces. Staying undetected puts you in control, letting you move through danger on your own terms. In this clip, you'll see:
- Jun Aslan infiltrating hostile territory with companions Tom Vargas and Suliman
- Use of Precognition to mark enemy positions before moving further in
- Disarming laser tripwire mines
- Close-quarters gauntlet takedowns
- The Recycler in the Spectre configuration: single-shot stealth mode for efficient eliminations
Traversing the Molten Depths
We’re excited to share another look at work-in-progress Exodus gameplay. This one takes you deep beneath the surface, where ancient Celestial ruins meet flowing fire in a hostile, ever-shifting environment. In this clip, you'll see:
- Jun Aslan, descending through fiery ancient ruins deep underground with companions Tom Vargas and Salt the Octopus
- Use of the gantlet ability “Eruption” to do everything from clear debris, shape livestone into bridges, and redirect magma flow
Exploring A Distant Frozen World
We’re excited to share a little more work-in-progress Exodus gameplay. This one teases a distant frozen world, one of many worlds you’ll explore in the hunt for Celestial Remnants that might save humanity. In this clip, you'll see:
- Exploration through crystal cave passages alongside companions Salt the Octopus and Elise
- A vast vista overlooking icy monuments that have stood for millennia
- Architecture that is unmistakably alien, and certainly not built with humans in mind
