Greetings, friends!
We're happy to announce that our work on the Cursed City update for Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy is now complete. With it, we finally see the game we had been striving to create, and an even better one at that, thanks to the many suggestions you shared with us throughout the journey. We sincerely hope you'll enjoy playing it now more than ever.

What can you expect from the update?The titular Cursed City is a new region made up of several locations, where you will encounter unique creatures, face powerful bosses, and discover new items, legendary weapons, and perhaps even learn Words of Power!
The region and its accompanying quest continue Lady Korynne's story arc. It is triggered by a world map encounter after you have completed her previous quests.

Older locations have also received a fresh coat of polish, with some areas reworked and expanded through the addition of new stashes, interactive objects, enemies, and new characters.We've also added new higher-level weapons and shields to the shops, completed all missing portraits and inventory icons, and given each of your companions their own background image (including Vavere, Kedaraïn, Eres, and Jemmahor), among other additions.
The final cutscene has been updated with companion endings that reflect the choices you made throughout the game!

Many player suggestions have also been implemented, including:
- A run/walk toggle;
- A new, better look for the world map;
- Random encounter skill checks now consider the entire party rather than just the player character;
- Improved pathfinding in difficult locations;
- Transparent walls and structures when companions are behind them, and camera improvements;
- Many more smaller enchantments to QoL!
A great deal of work has gone into improving the game's performance, addressing potential causes of crashes, and fixing countless lingering bugs. Thanks to the valuable feedback we received, many dialogue issues, broken questlines, and similar problems have also been resolved, while all localisations have been further improved.

The release of Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy did not meet either our own standards and the expectations many players had of us. We feel that this update has finally addressed that, adding everything the game should have had from the very beginning, and even more. We would also like to offer our sincere apologies, along with a heartfelt Thank You to all our players!

While this is the last major update for Swordhaven proper, we still plan to release patches, support the game, and perhaps even add some smaller updates.We are also working on console ports, and we hope to share more news on that front soon!
Thank you once again for supporting our team. Without your feedback, and the power of word of mouth when players recommend our games to their friends, we would *never* have been able to make games like this!
As always, if you encounter any bugs or have suggestions on how the game might be improved, please do not hesitate to share them on the forums or on our Discord server.
Yours forever,
Atom Team
