Echoes of Aincrad will have Live to Survive by Aimer as the game's theme song
Bandai Namco has confirmed details on the theme song for Echoes of Aincrad. The song will have the title Live to Survive, and it will be performed by Aimer.
Parts of the song will be available first via commercial videos for the game, which will run on Japanese television channels like Tokyo MX and BS11 during reruns of the Sword Art Online anime's Aincrad arc. Bandai Namco also revealed that full releases of the song's Japanese, English, and instrumental versions will be available digitally on July 1.
This should mark the first time Aimer contributes a theme song to a Sword Art Online entry. The singer has been previously known for her theme songs for titles like Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, the Ufotable anime adaptations of Fate/stay night, the newer releases of the Fate/hollow ataraxia visual novel, the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime, and the Demon Slayer anime series, among others.
The Japanese press release also includes commentary from Aimer herself, and our translation of the comment is available after the jump right below. Echoes of Aincrad will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on July 10, with Japan and Asia getting the console releases a day earlier on July 9.
This is Aimer, who on this occasion, has performed the theme song for Echoes of Aincrad, the newest Sword Art Online console game.
I feel like "Live to Survive" has been done as a song that will raise the heartbeats of everyone who plays the game.It is also the first time for me to sing a song in 2 versions: Japanese and English.
I'd be glad if you can enjoy listening to both, along with the game.
