Today, during the Skulls Showcase, Owlcat Games announced the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy’s Closed Beta on PC for all players who purchased one of the Founder’s Packs via the website.
In Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, players become an aсolyte of the Inquisition in the Calixis Sector. With their warband of deadly, dedicated fellow acolytes, they will uncover heresies and conspiracies, rooting out cults seeking to harm the Empire of Mankind. In the alpha, players were able to hunt down cultists and other heretic scum in the disgusting slums of Marisportum Sectoris. In the beta, they will travel to Scintilla’s spires, mingling with the planet’s prestigious elites. Players will also meet potential new companions, encounter powerful members of the nobility — the clergy and military — and need to uncover what is really going on in the governor’s palace. The beta contains around 20 hours of playtime and will stay open until the game’s release.
Owlcat also showcased the contents of the Dark Heresy Collector’s Edition, including a statue of Kroot companion Ra’akhti, in a new trailer.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy launches on Windows PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and consoles via PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
