Publisher Hooded Horse has announced that the space-based action RPG C-Beams will be published by Hooded Horse and launching via early access on PC.

Hooded Horse is excited to reveal the newest member of its portfolio of world-class strategic and tactical games – Distant Light Games' space action RPG C-Beams! Pilot a spaceship through a perilous black hole system in search of fame and fortune, engage in advanced combat, haul rare elements, and uncover dark secrets hiding in the abyss.

Step into a future where humanity is reaching out to the stars, and the discovery of a mysterious system sparks a frenzied gold rush among corporations, governments, and pilots brave enough to amass great fortunes in the face of hazardous anomalies and hostile competitors. As a new pilot with nothing to lose, players must decide how to carve their legacy in this unforgiving frontier.

Key features of C-Beams include

• Pilot one of several upgradable ship types with realistic handling and Newtonian physics controls.
• Explore a vast system filled with asteroid fields, space stations, planets, and more through a network of interconnected jump points.
• Engage in chaotic ship-to-ship combat. Make use of environmental cover and weapons ranging from short-range Gatling turrets to long-range guided missiles and the titular C-Beam lasers.
• The game offers multiple ways to specialize, whether that be in mining, hauling, trading, or combat.
• Develop skills, tackle missions, and earn a reputation with the various factions vying for dominance within the system.

 First announced in 2024, C-Beams has already amassed over 100,000 wishlists and is the brainchild of two longtime friends who met at a LEGO builders club, one of whom, Charlie Goldberg, runs the popular YouTube channel LevelCapGaming.

“We feel supported, trusted, and surrounded by people with real passion for the game at Hooded Horse,” says Goldberg. “While the foundation of the relationship is a business deal, it feels like we’ve met a great group who genuinely want to help us make an amazing game, and the vibe has been fantastic.”

C-Beams will be localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

C-Beams will release into early access for PC, and is coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store.
