Wadjet Eye Games has announced that it will finally launch this fall for Windows, macOS, and Linux via Steam and GOG. Six months ago, you died and were reborn. A vampire. A predator. Not a mere creature of the night, but one of its masters. At least, that's how things were supposed to be...
You arrive in the one city willing to promise vampires a fresh start, only to find suspicion and paranoia waiting on its dark streets. But death could not hold you, and fear will not hold you back. When the sun sets, outcasts rise.
Nighthawks is a sprawling 800K+ word role-playing adventure set over two years of modern vampire life:
- Explore a lavishly written world of dark shadows and bright neon, where your every decision could push the world towards a bold united future -- or a whole new era of fear
- Race against sunrise while exploring a city filled with stories and opportunities both horrifying and humorous
- Meet a fully voiced cast of 80+ characters looking to make a fresh start
- Resist your predator instincts, or stalk the city streets in search of fresh prey
- Use and abuse powerful vampire magic, including Mesmerism for exerting control over the living, Natural Dominion for making animals do your bidding, and Tenebrous Form to effortlessly shift into smoke
- Claw a path from the gutter to the heights of power and influence, until the fate of humans and vampires alike sits within your grasp
Nighthawks is the creation of Richard Cobbett, a writer whose credits include Failbetter Games' Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies, with art by Ben Chandler (Old Skies, Unavowed). Wadjet Eye Games is the publisher, with Wadjet Eye's founder Dave Gilbert serving as producer. Nearly 4,000 Kickstarter backers pledged $136,128 to help bring the project to life.
