Dune: Awakening is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X with a major update patch on September 22

The June 2026 State of Play included a new trailer for Dune: Awakening, which is coming to consoles on September 22 after its initial release on PC via Steam last year. Shortly after the PlayStation-exclusive stream ended, Funcom published their own announcement, reminding that the console release will come to not only PlayStation 5 but also Xbox Series X.

In their own news post, Funcom added that September 22 will also see a major update patch released for Dune: Awakening. Some of the major features implemented in this patch will include a single-player mode and the final Act that concludes the game's Book 1 story. However, the company added that there will be no cross-play supported between platforms, except for the Xbox and PC version available via Microsoft Store.
