Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series, and Xbox on PC

Square Enix has launched Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Xbox Series, Xbox on PC, and Switch 2 alongside the Streamlined Progression update for PS5 and Steam.

Square Enix has shared a new launch trailer for the Xbox and Switch 2 versions today as well. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on Switch 2, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Read my full platform comparison here and our PS5 review here.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the award-winning, critically acclaimed second game in the Final Fantasy VII remake project, is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
Also available on PS5 and PC via Steam, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has earned more than 125 perfect scores from media and 40 Game of the Year awards. With this release on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox, alongside the previous launch of Final Fantasy VII Remake INTERGRADE, the first two games in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy are now available across all modern platforms. No matter where they play, fans can catch up and prepare for the third installment, currently in production.
The new “Streamlined Progression” feature, first introduced in Final Fantasy VII Remake INTERGRADE, makes it easier than ever for players to jump into the adventure. This optional feature can grant unlimited HP (hit points), MP (magic points) and ATB gauge during battles, 9,999 damage, easier weapon ability acquisition and more to streamline gameplay and allow players to focus on the narrative. The Streamlined Progression feature is also available for the PS5 and PC versions of the game.
Players interested in trying out the title can play the free demo on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox, which features Chapters 1 and 2 of the game. Take control of a younger Cloud and the legendary war hero Sephiroth in Chapter 1, then journey with Cloud and his friends into the expansive Grasslands region in Chapter 2. Enjoy several hours of thrilling combat, hidden treasures, side stories and the beloved Queen’s Blood card mini game, with all progress carrying over into the full game.
Set across a vast and vibrant planet, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth sees Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII escape from the dystopian city of Midgar and head out into the wider world.
