Echoes of Aincrad second story trailer released
Bandai Namco has released a new story trailer for its upcoming Sword Art Online RPG Echoes of Aincrad following the demo's release.
This trailer also shows how the player can recruit existing Sword Art Online series characters as partners, such as Asuna, Silica, Agil, and Lisbeth (the latter of whom still has yet to dye her hair as she is more commonly known with).
If you haven't tried the demo yet, you can download it here on PS5, here on Xbox, and here on Steam. More about why the demo doesn't have character customization can be found here alongside what you need to watch from Sword Art Online if you'd like to catch up here. With the launch Echoes of Aincrad right around the corner, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has dropped a new Story Trailer showcasing more of this engaging new action RPG set in the popular SWORD ART ONLINE universe, including surprising reveals of some of the known characters that fans of the series will recognize.
See how players and familiar characters face the reality of their situation as they come to terms with the truth that they are all now trapped inside the floating castle of Aincrad, where dying in this virtual world means death in the real world. Amidst this confusion and despair, players will be the hero uniting everyone as they take up their sword to survive, beat the game, and break free of this game of life and death.
In Echoes of Aincrad, players will need to rely on partners and their Special Skills to overcome challenges and survive, including familiar fan-favorite characters from the franchise such as Asuna, Agil, Lisbeth and more. They must also choose what role each should assume in combat, employing the action RPG’s Switch System to alternate between attacking enemies and supporting the player as they recover in battle.
Echoes of Eincrad launches on July 10, 2026, with preorders available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
