Annihilated delayed to Q4 2026

Annihilated delayed to Q4 2026

Publisher Flashlight Games and developer Death Kumiai have announced that Annihilated has been delayed to Q4 2026. The dark dungeon crawler was originally set to launch on July 22 for PC (Steam).

Additional time for final adjustments to refine the overall game feel and battle balance is cited for the delay.

A message from both publisher Flashlight Games and developer Death Kumiai can be found below.

Release Postponement for Annihilated

This is Flashlight Games, publisher of Annihilated.

We regret to inform you that Annihilated, previously scheduled for release on July 22, 2026, has been delayed to Q4 2026 (October–December) in order to further improve the quality of the game.

Development is in its final stages, and the team has been polishing the game toward the July 22 release.

However, we have made the decision to take additional time for final adjustments — refining the overall game feel and fine-tuning the battle balance for a smoother experience — so that we can deliver the game at the level of quality it deserves.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the game.

During this final phase, we plan to release an updated demo and once again invite feedback from players.

In return for the wait, the entire team is committed to making Annihilated a game that lives up to your expectations at launch.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

We are also sharing a message from the development team regarding this delay.

To everyone waiting for Annihilated.

We know some of you have been saying, "It's out this month — can't wait!" — which makes this announcement all the more painful to write.

Here's the honest truth: the game has already passed Steam's review process, and we absolutely could finish bug-checking and ship the game by July 22.

But that launch would have looked something like: "gasp* *wheeze* BUGS FIXED!!! OKAY, SHIP IT NOWT!" ... and that's not the launch this game deserves.

What we couldn't fit in was the time after completion for the whole team to play the game over and over and fine-tune all the little details of the balance. That's the time we're asking for.

The delay window may look wide, but that's only because we'd rather promise carefully and deliver early — we're doing everything we can to get it to you as soon as possible. Please don't worry on that front.

We'd be truly grateful if you could give us just a little more time.

Thank you for your patience and continued support — we are looking forward to share what we've been working on!

— Death Kumiai, the Annihilated development team
