Monster-raising action RPG Leafblade is coming to PC via Steam, demo available

Wayward Studio has published a demo version of Leafblade on PC via Steam. The full game is also slated to appear on the platform, although the studio has yet to provide a release window.

This 2D action RPG will task the player to prevent the extinction of monsters called Mons which, despite aggressively attacking you at first, can be befriended and raised. This game also has several farming sim elements where you can grow crops and decorate your house, while also cooking dishes that can increase stats and unlock new abilities in your befriended Mons.

You can find the official trailer, descriptions, and screenshots for Leafblade right below. This game is so far only slated to support English.

Leafblade is a cozy monster caretaker mixed with action RPG and farming sim.

You are Rain, a human chosen to carry the Leaf that can create bonds with wild Mons and prevent their extinction. Fight against wild Mons to uncover the mystery behind their aggressiveness, bond with them, take them on adventures and foster them in your Farm Sanctuary with their farm skills to gather food and cook delicious meals to improve their abilities.

Mons can be deadly as enemies but once a bond has been created with them, they will be the best companions in combat with their passive and active abilities or help you grow crops with their Farm skills.

Discover the mystery behind the lost bond between Mons and humans by looking for and talking with the four ancient Mons that rule over monsters.

Your Farm Sanctuary is the best place to rest between adventures, grow crops with your Mons, decorate, cook food for Mons or humans and improve your Leafblade skills before a big challenge.

Cook dishes to increase the stats of your Mons, feed them the right dishes to awake new combat abilities and decorate your farm to ensure they are happy in it!
