Today, Capcom debuted a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword focused on the one of the many real-world locations set in the action game’s dark fantasy depiction of Kyoto.

The footage explores Yasui Konpiragu Shrine, a sacred place known for granting wishes, but not always in the ways you might hope. In the game, a Genma called Rasho-gan preys on pilgrims, twisting visitors’ desires to take their body parts for himself. Players can look forward to dueling this multi-armed monster as protagonist Miyamoto Mushashi, wielding the samurai’s Oni Gauntlet and deep arsenal of combat abilities in an intense boss battle.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on September 4, 2026.
