Persona 6 will have a PS5 physical release in Japan according to Sega

Sega has confirmed that Persona 6 will get a physical release on PlayStation 5 in a post on its official Japanese announcement.

This announcement went live back in June when Persona 6 was revealed for PS5, Xbox, and PC. Thanks to ResetEra member Nahobinbro for the heads up. This implies Persona 6 will launch before Sony's deadline for new PS5 games getting physical releases which is January 2028. The Persona 6 PS5 physical release mention is from before Sony revealed its digital-only plans though.

The post on Sega's website is likely for Japan since every Atlus and Sega title skips physical releases for Xbox and PC in Japan with the Western versions getting Xbox and sometimes even PC physical releases. We don't have a release window for Persona 6 yet, but it is in development for PS5, Xbox, and PC release.
