EA has announced that eleven classic Ultima games are now available on Steam. While these games have been available on other PC storefronts like GOG, this is the first time the series has been available on Steam.

This announcement comes as a part of 25 total classic titles now avaialble on the platform, including Wing Commander series, Crusader series, Road Rash, and Theme Hospital. The full list can be found in the press release below.

Seven of these titles in the Road Rash and Wing Commander are labeled 'Anniversary Edition', which underwent a digitization recovery process to restore cinematic scenes. These titles will be priced at $9.99. Those who own these games on GOG will be able to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition for free on that platform.

The other 18 games, including the eleven Ultima titles, will be priced at $4.99 each. A full collection bundle is also available at a discounted price.

EA's announcement can be found below, followed by some screenshots of each of the Ultima titles.

Today, EA has announced the restoration of seven iconic PC games, launching Anniversary Editions of Road Rash™ and six titles in the Wing Commander™ franchise. These Anniversary Editions are accompanied by the re-release of 18 other classic titles on Steam for the first time, including historic RPGs from the Ultima™ franchise, Crusader™, Theme Hospital™ and more.
In total 25 beloved games are coming to Steam and the full list of titles can be found below. Download assets for the collection here.
Each Anniversary Edition preserves the original look, feel and creative intent of the game, with quality-of-life updates to support modern systems, controls, improve performance and make the titles more approachable without compromising their authenticity.
The Anniversary Editions have been a labor of love, inspired by the discovery of a physical media vault containing thousands of Betacam, VHS, and D1 tapes alongside other media assets. The digitization process recovered the supposedly lost Master FMV sequences for these seven legendary titles, which were meticulously re-edited to restore the over 1,500 cinematic scenes across these games. This reflects EA’s commitment to renewing influential titles for longtime fans while helping new audiences discover the games that helped shape PC gaming.
For each restored Wing Commander title, these improvements were made possible by the dedicated community, who were open and eager to collaborate with the passionate team at EA to incorporate their mods into the official releases. This launch is a celebration of the community’s commitment to the franchise, which is why anyone who already owns a digital copy of the Wing Commander titles on GOG or the EA App will automatically receive the Anniversary Edition upgrade for free on their respective digital platform.
The Anniversary Editions of Road Rash and Wing Commander are available now for $9.99 SRP each, with all other classic titles available for $4.99 SRP each. The full collection will be available across Steam, GOG, and the EA App, with special pricing on Steam and GOG from Nov. 5 - 9.
