Fire Emblem: Awakening moves 180k copies in its first month

Nintendo of America has released a statement alongside the NPD group's monthly sales data in regards to the recently released Fire Emblem: Awakening.  The critically acclaimed 3DS SRPG has sold over 180,000 copies in the month of February, including both retail and digital versions.

Keeping in mind the game was severly supply constrained, this is a very respectable number, especially when considering it outpaced all other entries in the franchise in a comparable period of time.  To compare to the previous entry, Shadow Dragon moved 250,000 in its lifetime.  With good word of mouth, the game will likely continue to sell, going above and beyond its predecessors.
