Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn release date announce due end of May

While we've known for a little while now that Square-Enix is looking to release the reinvigorated version of their second MMORPG Final Fantasy effort, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, sometime this Summer, it looks like we won't have to wait too much longer to hear exactly when we expect the game to arrive.

In an open letter to the community, producer Naoki Yoshida has confirmed that not only will an announcement regarding a specific release date be made at the end of May, but also that the third phase of the PC beta test is due to start soon, with the long-awaited PS3 beta commencing alongside it.

Due to start at the beginning of June, the third phase of the beta test will include revisions to the battle system, the ability to transfer characters from the original 1.0 version of the game, main scenario quests up to level 20, additional dungeons, over one hundred FATE encounters and the twin new areas of Ul'dah and Limsa Lominsa to name just a few of the new additions that next month's update will bring.

So what do you guys think?  Are you already a hardened beta warrior looking forward to the Phase 3 of the PC beta or are you slavering at the thought of getting your paws on the PS3 beta for the game?
