Gust working on Chronos Materia

According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Gust will be working on an original IP called Chronos Materia exclusive for the PlayStation Vita. I guess companies are finally starting to warm up to what has been a troubled platform.

Revolving around the element of "time" (hence the name), the story focuses on a young girl named Iris who aspires to become a great alchemist but lacks confidence in her abilities. Joining her on the adventure is Primula, a girl with an austere demeanor but just wants a place for her to belong; a boy named Thyme who loves a good adventure and seeks edifiication through that lifestyle; and Shion, a tradesman who likes to relax but takes his craft seriously.

Much like Radiant Historia, the game features the "Eternity Looping System" that will allow players to retrace their steps in the story as far back as they want to and redo certain moments in the game to alter the course of history. Character designs will be handled by Vocaloid illustrator Nozomi Ousaka, whom anime fans may also know as the artist for Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai.

Chronos Materia is set to be released in Japan on September 26th. Thank you to ANN for the info.
