Lightning Returns demo is now available

The Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII demo is now available for download in North America and Europe on PS3 and Xbox 360.  Xbox Live Silver members will have to wait until the 28 to try it out.

The demo follows Lightning in her search for Snow, giving her access to several equipment sets.  Social media functionality is also present, as battle scores can be posted to Twitter and Facebook.  Doing so for the final battle in the PS3 version will give the player access to the "Siegfried" costume in the full game. PS3 owners will also be given a costume to unlock in the full game just by downloading the demo.  The costume in question is the Utsusemi Samurai.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is scheduled to launch in North America on February 11, and in Europe 3 days later on the 14.
