Yoshinori Ono talks about Deep Down

In one of the latest in a string of videos where Sony is having game creators come on to talk about their projects, the loveable Yoshinori Ono discusses the inspiration for Deep Down and provides some fresh new details about the upcoming free-to-play title for PS4 that so far has only been announced for Japan.

The video is entirely in Japanese, but some of the key points such as how the dungeons, while randomly generated, will feature different algorithmically-based gimmicks, such as what monsters can appear in a certain situation or traps and hidden doors, to encourage exploration. Weapons will also change or degrade over time, keeping players on their toes if they spend too much time fighting without worrying about the consequences. 

Seriously - I am in love with that soundtrack.
