Dragon Quest IX Ships 3 Million

Only a few days on and Dragon Quest IX has shipped a whopping 3 million copies in Japan, smashing the early sales of the previous entry in the series.

This milestone also means that the Dragon Quest series has sold over 50 million copies worldwide across its entries, quite a feat for a series that is traditionally less popular than other RPGs outside of Japan.
