Much like in 2013's Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, a classic mode returns for Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. Rather than having a preset story party, this mode works like the original titles on Nintendo DS, where the player creates their own party from the set of classes available. These characters can also be customized using Grimoire Stones, which grant any character class to use another class' skills.
Additionally, a classic music track can also be chosen, using Nintendo DS style BGM rather than orchestrated themes. Check out the trailer posted by Atlus below.
Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight is set for a Summer 2015 release in North America. NIS America is handling the European publishing duties, set for that region sometime next year.
