First screenshots for Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey

Atlus has updated the offcial website for Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey, giving us our first direct screenshots and artwork for the 3DS remaster.

The website shares the information given in the game's Famitsu reveal. Four of the game's main characters are reintroduced: Gore, the Protagonist, Jimenez, and Zelenin (which you can read about on Atlus USA's site for the original DS game) as well as newcomer Alex.

Alex is a mysterious woman who attacks the protagonist for unknown reasons. Her story is said to be linked to a challenging new route and a new ending for the game.

Deep Strange Journey also features new voiceovers and redone artwork for both characters and demon designs. Character portraits will also be a little more animated, featuring different facial expressions. New musical tracks will be added to the remaster as well.

Also new to Deep Strange Journey is the ability to save anywhere and three different difficulty options to choose from. Interface tweaks have also been made, in addition to new skills and other elements.

Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey is set to release this Fall in Japan on Nintendo 3DS. You can find the debut teaser trailer and information here.
