Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire's Backer Beta is now live

We have a handful of Pillars of Eternity news coming from Obsidian Entertainment today. The key bit is that the backer beta for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire went live today, and you can play it now if it was included in your pledge for the game when the campaign originally launched on Fig. You also have the option to add it as an add-on to your existing pledge over at Obsidian's website. The add-on for Beta access costs $20.

In addition to the launch of the beta, Obsidian releases a new gameplay trailer to their youtube channel, and alongside the screenshots added to the Deadfire store pages yesterday, this gives us a nice handful of new media for the title as we begin to transition into 2018.

We've gathered the screenshots in the short gallery at the bottom and have the trailer for you below. It's roughly a minute of gameplay footage (primarly combat) attached to the initial teaser cinematic.

Lastly, today is the launch day for Pillar of Eternity: Complete Edition, which is the PC bundle of Pillars of Eternity, its two part expansion The White March, and the new Deadfire DLC pack, which is also available as a free download for existing owners.
