Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire wil come to Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch around holiday 2018

As we approach Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire's April release, one thing that was never clear up to this point was whether the game would see a console release. The original Pillars of Eternity didn't see a console release for over a year past the game's initial launch. It was a different studio around the port that time, but we thought it was pretty well done.

Luckily, fans won't have to wait quite as long to play Deadfire on their Playstation 4 or Xbox One, or even their Nintendo Switch.

Game Informer is reporting that Deadfire will be coming to all three consoles during the holiday period of 2018. The port is being handled by Brazilian development studio Red Cerberus. This is in addition to THQ Nordic handling the physical edition for the PC version of the game.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will release April 3 for PC, Mac, and Linux. We'll keep you updated once we know more about the release information of the console versions.
