The Witcher 2, Fable Anniversary are now enhanced on Xbox One X

Microsoft announced via Major Nelson's blog that The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings and Fable Anniversary are now part Xbox One X Enhanced catalog branch of the Xbox One Backward Compatibility library. The titles join Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as some of the big RPG titles now available to be played at the higher settings on the Xbox One X.

Some new options for Xbox One X owners were also announced in the post: compatible 360 games will now be able to be played in the standard 'Performance' mode or an improved 'Graphics' mode when launched on Microsofts newest console rendition. It's definitely nice to have a couple of options when playing these older titles despite not having those sorts of choices built into the original games. Playing on the advanced settings will run the 360 games with higher resolution, increased texture detail, and improved antialiasing,

We actually reviewed the original release of the console version of The Witcher 2 here. We thought it was an excellent version of a great game, and now arguably even better.
